I've hung the painting in the central-most area of my teenie-tiny condo. So it's the first thing I see when I walk into the door. - and when I do my dishes. - and when I wake up. - and when I leave for the day. I also hung a picture light so that the soul of the butterfly is illuminated. It's quite remarkable.

When I look at your painting, I feel all sorts of emotions: pride at the immense courage I mustered to leave that 'perfect life'; sadness at the fact that I was so entrapped in a secretive mire; anger at myself for making that choice to marry him when - deep down - I knew of his tendancies; and hope that the hardship I've endured will lead me to brighter horizons. . ."
